Cherub.wya is M Tran, a 1st-gen Vietnamese American born and raised in Orange County, CA. Their initial move to San Francisco in 2011 jump-started their musical journey as a vocalist & guitar player in a local dream pop band Li Xi as well as dark electro band Godgifu. The global pandemic in 2020 pushed them to focus on collecting & mixing vinyl records to cope with isolation. Their biggest inspiration is the ocean, heartache & friendship. Catch their live monthly mix “Harm Reduction” every 3rd Tuesday 7-9pm, where they showcase a musical focus on healing sounds from uplifting trance & ambient to jazz & deep house.
