Skiis is a DJ and producer whose sound blends the high energy pulse of hard house and garage with the girt and rhythm of breakbeat and dembow. The Mexican born, SF based selector cuts hard through genres, balancing high-impact moments with melancholic and emotive cuts. Unafraid of an anthem or poppy motif, his sets maintain a level of unpretentiousness while pushing the lines of driving club music.

His Hyde residency is meant to bounce between more passively listenable, but still club-influenced episodes, based largely around original productions and works-in-progress. Every 2nd or 3rd episode, however, will be for full mixes of early, non dance-music influences which include boom-bap and post-punk.
